Classic Photo Booths
These are a great idea for a wedding, party or other celebration. Guests have a ton of fun playing with them and have a memento to remember the special event.

Reservations for 6 and a newborn at the last minute. The menu had some of their brunch standards with a Father's Day twist. The "sliders" (555's take on Eggs Benny) are my favorite brunch menu items.

The service and setting is always impeccable, and personable. The menu is local and fresh and a real culinary experience in an unpretentious manner.

Flatbread Company
This restaurant has great waterfront location, excellent salad (with house made sesame dressing). Their lemonade squeezed right in front of your eyes from lemons (!) and sweetened with maple syrup is amazing. The oven, the decor, the organic style - all are wonderful. We always sit on the leather couches and eat from a coffee table. Their pizza is amazing - thin crust, flavorful toppings! You also have a "build your own pizza" option and pizza for lactose-intolerant people like me. They have desserts, but we've never tried them because we are usually too full from our meal.
Love it there!
Fore Street
What could be more fun than watching the chefs prepare your meal, as we did last night at Fore Street? The open kitchen format is a real bonus for those of us who love the culinary arts. Fore Street features items cooked in a wood fired oven. The wood fired mussels are not to be missed. The sauce in which the mussels are cooked is a meal in itself, sopped up with the ultimate in crusty breads. We were told that the menu changes DAILY, reflecting the freshness of items in the market place. It took us a week to get a reservation, but the wait was well worth it. We found the wait staff to be enthusiastic and very interested in our pleasure. And we were pleased!

A wonderful museum. The museum itself is a work of art. The Wyeth paintings that are part of the museum's permanent collection are not to be missed. The changing exhibits have never disappointed me. Check out the glass downstairs and you will see some early Dale Chihuly's. Wonderful. Make this part of your tour of the Old Port, you will be glad you did.

We visit this museum every time we're in Maine - two or three times a year. It's really a wonderful, creative, cheerful place, clean and brightly lit too.

It's a very manageable museum - not huge, but plenty to do: balls and ramps, a fire truck, gas station, grocery store, barn, vet's office, touch tank, to name a few areas. It's like a huge indoor educational playspace, very hands on. During nice weather there's a great outdoor area with a ship to climb on and a music area that's kind of like a big percussion station.

There's no cafe, only vending machines, but there are tables and chairs if you want to bring your own food. You can also get your hand stamped and return later that day if you want to take a lunch break somewhere else.

If you have younger children, you should really plan a visit. It will be a couple of hours very well spent.
